Custom Orders & Whatnot

Once upon a time, I had a snazzy idea. (In 6th grade I discovered the word "snazzy" and never looked back. Sadly, my vocabulary remains at the edge of puberty.) My snazzy idea was to embroider words on to bags... Quotes, subversive sayings, song-lyrics, catch-phrases, etc. Non-public domain words, of course, are copyrighted and protected.  But don't get all upset, these bags are mainly gifts for friends.

Embroidering words is awesome because it gives me an excuse to hop on to MSWord and get crazy with the font. I do enjoy a good font. (Have you seen the documentary Helvetica? If not, proceed directly to your Netflix and watch instantly.)

Example: I stitched a tote for Madge, featuring the punchline from her signature joke about a mad cow: "I'm a heliocopter." Don't ask me to tell this joke. It's all in the delivery and only Madge can tell it. For that bag I asked a pal from work to draw a little doodle of what he would consider to be a "mad cow," and it turned out great.

Further development of the snazzy idea has spawned bags bearing Radiohead lyrics, lit quotes, sassy comebacks, and pop culture references.

It's a nifty* personalized gift.  (*See also: rad, awesome.)

To that end, I can also build-a-bag to your specifications: color, size, zippers, pockets, etc.

Wanna order a custom-built pillow/bag/pouch/wall-hanging adorned with (or without) the (ahem, public domain) words/quotes/lyrics/catchphrase of your choice?
