Zip-Pouch... Namaste.

At this point, you know Kristin, right?  And this awesome design she drew for me to embroider on yoga mat bags and stuff, right?

Ok, good.

So I'm embroidering this design on other stuff now.  All strictly experimental.  This one's for the purple-lover in your life.  It actually kinda matches The YMB in Purple and Yellow Floral Print.

See the Etsy listing here.

Purple Corduroy + Beads

$15 + shipping

So my friends have taken to giving me their old clothes, which I promptly butcher and salvage for cool fabric options.  Mostly denim and the occasional corduroy.  Most of the pouches you see here, were once my friends' pants.  These cords, however, were mine.  They served me well!

This is just a fun li'l zipper-pouch with beading detail.  See more on Etsy here.

Left of Centre Polka Dot Tote

$25 + shipping.

You are not seeing things. Those polka dots are slightly askew. Don't ask me why. This fabric was donated to me by someone with access to random fabric samples.

(As previously discussed, I now have fabric with corgis on it.)

Lined. Inside divider-pocket. Snap closure.
Satin-ish synthetic lining. The polka dots are velvety. Definitely one of a kind.
12" W x 11.5" H x 2.5" D
24" strap.

Find it in my etsy shop.

#WIP : Beads and Things

Got into some new stitches, free-stylin' with the beads and what-not.

Not sure what to make of it... it could be a zip-pouch, but I kinda feel like it needs a more specific purpose... it's special.

Hedge Fund, Purple

Another hedgehog zip-pouch.  Meant to be used as a coin-purse, but it does fit a standard-size ID.  "Nibs" the hedgehog was designed by my pal Kristin Matwiczyk.

This guy is purple, to match the fabric on the back.  Made from old jeans (recycled).  See the Etsy listing for more details.

YMB: Light Moss Green, with kmatw Embroidery

$50 + free shipping.

Fits standard sized mat.  Embroidery and lining are purple, green, and gray.  Cool design by Kristin Matwiczyk.  Stitched and built by me.

Lined with quilt batting, so bag retains shape.

Because of the embroidery, this one's a bit pricier.  The etsy-listing is here.

See more yoga mat bags for $28 and up here.

Nice spring/summer fabric.  Excellent for purple-people.  (You know who you are.)

No-Frills Patchwork Bag: Purple Deco Flowers

No-Frills Patchwork Bags are easy-peasey to make, hence the lower price.  They lack fancy snaps and zips, but they're still lined with two pockets.  $20 plus shipping.

Check it out on Etsy.

Think(embroidery)Geek

Saw some photos on Instagram of the uber-craft-geekiness that is the DIY embroidery iPhone case. Total madness.

Went searching, found what I wanted on both superbuzzy and ThinkGeek. The ThinkGeek option was on sale for $5 cheaper. Plus, how can I pass up the opportunity to simultaneously peruse Enterprise pizza cutters and Futurama T-shirts?

After some trial and error, I decided on a flower-motif, sort of inspired by the same painting that inspired the Firecracker Sampler (all courtesy of Kristin Matwicyk).
