Zip-Pouch... Namaste.

At this point, you know Kristin, right?  And this awesome design she drew for me to embroider on yoga mat bags and stuff, right?

Ok, good.

So I'm embroidering this design on other stuff now.  All strictly experimental.  This one's for the purple-lover in your life.  It actually kinda matches The YMB in Purple and Yellow Floral Print.

See the Etsy listing here.

Nibs Rides Again!

Nibs appears again, this time with a brick-red 'n' blue floral backing.

Visit the Hedge Fund page to find out more.

Or, see the Etsy listing here.

Purple Corduroy + Beads

$15 + shipping

So my friends have taken to giving me their old clothes, which I promptly butcher and salvage for cool fabric options.  Mostly denim and the occasional corduroy.  Most of the pouches you see here, were once my friends' pants.  These cords, however, were mine.  They served me well!

This is just a fun li'l zipper-pouch with beading detail.  See more on Etsy here.

Hedge Fund: Blue Flower

The backing fabric for this guy used to be a skirt... I think... I'm pleased with this addition to the Hedge Fund line.  Trying some different color combos.

See it on Etsy here.

Experiment: Skull Pouch

Yes.  I cannot draw.  Kmat has since emailed me a much better rendering to be used for future projects.

This was a gift for a friend who loaned me her French press after mine died in an unfortunate explosion of coffee all over my kitchen.  Said friend loves skulls.

I liked how it came out.  Gonna make more soon!

Hedge Fund, Purple

Another hedgehog zip-pouch.  Meant to be used as a coin-purse, but it does fit a standard-size ID.  "Nibs" the hedgehog was designed by my pal Kristin Matwiczyk.

This guy is purple, to match the fabric on the back.  Made from old jeans (recycled).  See the Etsy listing for more details.

Owl Zipper Pouch, Blue (with stripes in back)

$25 + shipping.

I kinda love this guy.  The backing fabric coordinates beautifully with the embroidery, if I do say so myself.  But you'll have to click on the Etsy-listing to see more.

Zipper Pouch... Namaste.

At this point, you know Kristin, right?  And this awesome design she drew for me to embroider on yoga mat bags and stuff, right?

Ok, good.

So I'm embroidering this design on other stuff now.

The old-assed jeans that wrought this zipper pouch were a bit distressed.  Like me, after Lou Reed died. But I digress.

See the Etsy listing here.

Hedge-Fund, Wine 'n' Crackers

Cutest idea I've EVER had?!?  Well, actually, no.  It wasn't totally my idea, I can't take full credit.  I was messing about with the hedgehog idea, but it was a dear old friend who suggested, "Make it a coin-purse and call it a 'Hedge Fund.'"

My friends are smart AND funny.  And this pouch is freaking cute.

Hedgie designed by Kmat.  Stitched and built by me.  The colors in this one remind me of wine 'n' crackers, hence the name.

Check out the Etsy listing.  Don't be afraid to convo me with custom requests for colors and such, the possibilities are endless!

Owl Zipper Pouch, Pink 'n' Green

$25 + shipping.

I inherited a box of zippers.  I've been on a zipper-pouch rampage.  People have been requesting more owls.  I have also been on an owl rampage.  Personally, I thought owls were over.  Apparently not.  Which is just fine by me.

See the Etsy listing here.

Lavinia Flies South

After 4 years in NYC, I decided to pick up and move to Asheville, NC.  I've been here since June 1, settling in and searching for jobs.  Haven't had much time to update the site, but now that I am (hopefully) approaching a steady income y'all can expect some new items within the next week or so.  I've been stitching up some cute li'l zipper pouches:

As well as some purses:

All in all, this relocation has been a bit of a challenge... change is harder the older ya get... but I'm keepin' the faith.  Even if I don't end up staying here, it's a good place to be for right now.  Plus, when I leave my house, it pretty much always looks like this outside:

Not bad, eh?

Squares.

$22 + shipping.
Keeping the embroidery designs simple helps me to keep the cost down.  You know I love detailed work, but this design is nice and simple... and it looks pretty cool against the dark-washed denim.

This is a zipper pouch, 7" W x 4.5" H.  Made from recycled jeans and hand-embroidered.

You can see more pics and info on the etsy listing here.

Embroidered change-purse in rouge.

I love this fabric.  As usual, I have no idea what this fabric actually is, but it embroiders beautifully.  It's the same stuff I used for this Two Birds, One Stone purse, as well as this sunglasses case.  Sort of a ribbed poly sateen type thing.

Whipped up this little change purse for a dear old friend.  It's a birthday/Xmas/any-other-holiday-I-might-have-missed kinda thang.
